Gen...I am with you. We need a concerted effort to round up people to revolt. The apathy on the part of the American sheeple is almost worse than the crooks in Washington and Wall street. This will continue to go on and worsen if the people allow it. I dont want to see people in bread lines or homeless and destitute in this country before they will take a stand. We here on TF are of the same opinion I am sure. Surely we can come up with a game plan. ---------- The function of the Government is to separate the peasants from their money by pretending to fail.....Reinhardt

Maybe the Universities after being forced to downsize and cut back will spin the situation to their students, and we can get some serious protests going on. Nothing like a mass of angry kids to touch off a major event.

KD - awesome as usual. Anyone - Are there any protests in DC in the near future. I'll be there. This summer through September was a busy business travel period for me at work so I had to miss the ones that were held. Right now I have no business trips scheduled until at least early February. ---------- "F**k CNBS, CONgress, Obama, the Democrats, the Republicans, the ratings agencies, the Banksters, the Fed, the FASB, all the government regulatory agencies, the Trilateral Commission, the Council of Foreign Relations, the G whatever, the UN, and any other bastard or big corporate interest that has a fingerprint on this

I think that they will win by looking out a window waiting for my lips to turn blue and my toes to fall off. Maybe "law-makers" voted to push "the freeze us out" button until the new president.

HELL NO Karl! We will not stand for it! There is a massive amount of growing anger here in our little NC town with all the J6P people. They are mad and all I hear is, " We will not pay taxes for this"!!This among people, both rich and poor, hanging out at bait shops, auto stores, factories ect.

Economic terrorism. Plain and simple. That is what Paulson practiced. Best case he's an idiot. Worst case I'll add him to your list.

Mrsgell - I just don't see this here in NYC and northern Jersey. I'm pretty ****ed but all I see people do is talk. And still too many people believe that a recovery is right around the corner. And some even believe that TARP was a good idea. I think things are going to have to get MUCH worse before the J6Ps of the country will finally stand up to this nonsence. For example, I guarantee you that if we announced a protest in DC for next month, I seriously doubt that more than 100 people would show up. I know the Fedup people had several this summer (all scheduled while I was unfortunately business travelling) and they had less than 50 people show up to any of them. Critical mass must be reached to change things and we are not there yet...

I hate to agree but critical mass is nowhere near reached. It may take another 30% decline in their house and portfolio values and/or loss of jobs. The hope for Obama to stimulate the economy is still strong among the sheeple and the pigmen are all buying time kicking the can. The people are not desperate enough yet. When they fear where their next meal will come from or when food shortages start will be the right time. They are still fat, dumb and happy with their beers, remotes, ipods and american idol. ---------- The function of the Government is to separate the peasants from their money by pretending to fail.....Reinhardt

Beausam - Unfortunately, that is also the best time for Americans to surrender the freedom that we've enjoyed to 230 years. When people start worrying about their next meal, that's when they are most likely to support a demagogue (sp?) ---------- "F**k CNBS, CONgress, Obama, the Democrats, the Republicans, the ratings agencies, the Banksters, the Fed, the FASB, all the government regulatory agencies, the Trilateral Commission, the Council of Foreign Relations, the G whatever, the UN, and any other bastard or big corporate interest that has a fingerprint on this

Mrsgell - if that's the case, it sounds like people in your town are paying attention to the light of the oncoming train. I just don't think most people in the country have figured it out yet let alone are taking any steps to oppose this nonsence

They already have succumbed Stonedog and it's to Obama. Demagogue refers to a political strategy for obtaining and gaining political power by appealing to the popular prejudices, emotions, fears and expectations of the public — typically via impassioned rhetoric and propaganda, and often using nationalist or populist themes. ---------- The function of the Government is to separate the peasants from their money by pretending to fail.....Reinhardt

How can there be accountability and oversight when the Gov and FED does not even disclose the recipients and $ amounts of the moneys that went out the door. You can NOT have proper oversight without even knowing WHO the recipients are and how much they received. The only thing disclosed has been the equity injections into the banks. All the other loans and asset purchases are secret. There is no accountability. It is business as usual at the banks. Last modified:
