Thank You Karl for speaking out for the silent MAJORITY. When I bought my first and only house to date I bought on the premise of disaster striking and losing one income in the family. I drive a payed off high mile car, I carry no CC debt and I live humbly within my means.

Why should I pay for this fiasco of irresponsibility that the realtors, flippers, HELOC abusers, Our elected officials, banksters( I am probably missing a few other guilty parties) caused?!

Are you listening Washington? Are you listening Mr. Obama? Are you listening Mr. Geithner?

I am mad as HELL!

I truly hoped that the new administration would succeed.

If this is how Gibbs responds to Santilli, I shudder to think the damage that he will do if he responds similarly in the midst of international situations that require delicate, thoughtful, balanced, and controlled treatment.

I guess, though, that would solve the houses-are-over-priced problem, though. The price of real estate exposed to radioactive fallout probably tends to be depressed for a period of time.

The inexperience of this team is frightening and does not bode well for the future. Loose cannons, to be sure.

One other thing...... I have no problem with my house value dropping because I bought what I could easily afford and I bought it as an a place to hang my hat, not my finances.

Is anyone really surprised? Look how the Dems and their willing allies in the media treated Palin & Joe the Plumber. Look how they treated Santilli on Friday. I am sure they are digging into his housing records and tax history as we speak.

Furthermore, this was a purposeful & planned mocking of Santilli, no doubt orchestrated by Rahm (Obama was too busy lying about NAFTA again to get involved).

+2 for Santelli's Tea Party and I promise I will personally be responsible for at least 10 people showing up.

**** that +4 - my whole family is going to go. My father was in service in WW2 and was part of the force that helped start the rebuilding in Japan. I have really never done a damn thing for my country - except pay taxes (which disqualifies me for public service in this administration)- and I think its high time that I do something for the USA. Or whatever we rename it after we take our country back.

Thank you Karl.

I also strongly encourage everyone to watch the 60 minutes video on the second wave of housing crash about to wash ashore on the U.S. economy. They also interview two experts who saw the housing mess well in advance, and they make a very convincing argument that sub-prime mortgages was a small crisis compared to Alt-A and Commercial defaults that will start sweeping the economy this year.

Depending on how much BAC and CITI are exposed to this; even if little, I don't see how they can survive the Spring without a government takeover.

What an imbecile. Gibbs sucks at what he does. Why would Obama pick him to be the WH press secretary? I can only see it as lack of judgement and inexperience.

I'm mad as hell at the extraordinary waste of my tax dollars! Where is the change?

I think the "Credit Crunch" parody sums it all up for Bernanke and this whole crisis. Like they say, a picture is worth a thousand words.

Obama has shown a simply astounding, unprecedented (probably) lack of judgment in his appointees across the board. Rahm, Geithner, Gibbs, and the aborted tax-cheats... It's disturbing to say the least, but Hilary is probably his BEST pick. Press Secretaries are, of course, chosen for their ability to "manipulate" the truth to the White House's advantage, and Gibbs has to defend the wildly flawed plan as given to him - so the fact that Gibbs was lying is no surprise. But that he has so little mastery of the issues with which to work the crowd is seriously grounds enough for Obama to fire him.

My view of the current bailout of American homes is nothing more than a cover to pump more money into the banks and shore up the crap they have sitting on their books, too much Barackracy and not enough real change.

Awesome Thanks KD,
What little "Hope" for "Change" I had with this new administration is gone.
Which makes me both sad and angry for what lies ahead.
Get ready everybody our country has a VERY rough road ahead!

The thing that baffles me is not Gibbs ...he is playing the lousy hand he was given ...though admittedly not very well.

What baffles me is why Obama supported this crap in the first place.

The stimulus package is mediocre (at best) even if you are Keynesian ...but I get it.

There is no Economic justification for this garbage though ...not austrian, keynes, monitarist ...communist maybe?

Controlling a multi-trillion dollar housing market with $75B is like trying to reverse the laws of gravity. It is simply a waste of money.

The stimulus was a foul ball, this was a strike. I think Obama gets one more pitch...

Many probably feel the same, however it may prove ineffective as I get the feeling he may be accustomed to large lower GI intrusions. Perhaps a forced regime of dating pretty girls, drinking beer out of a can, watching contact sports and reading the Constitution would melt this tyrant back to Hades like the wicked witch of the west.

Actually, I retract what I said about Gibbs after seeing that last clip. What an arrogant condescending ass ...and directed at the only CNBC commentator that actually has a spine and a brain.
