The other night that bull**** artist was discussing the POSITIVE aspects of the U.S. Employment report, as only HE could present and other have failed to do so - it was a riot watching his technology fail at every touch of the screen - and never once mentioned the Birth/Death Model additions.

Isn't Woodshedder someone who posts on this board too? Using another name. I know I've seen his f'n mullet over here.

TMD: He uses a close-up of the face of the guy in Joe-bob's avatar, IIRC. Dunno who the pic is of though, or what the connection. ---------- "That was a little trick I call math. You're mixing him up with Joe-bob, TMD. They are NOT the same person. They just happen to use the same avatar picture.

Gen: You mention the credit recession vs. the inventory recession, as you have in the past. Based on the business I am in....import/export, we see balance sheets of thousnads of private companies every year. I for one am a big believer that we are currently facing BOTH tyoes of recessions simultaneously, which in turn will make this recession even worse, just about gauranteeing a depression. Although the management at my Japanese owned company do not see it my way, this scenario is nothing they are not used to already. What is your take on the idea of facing both recessions at the same time? And if so....how does it effect the recovery (well...eventual recovery)? ---------- Hopium: hope filled delirium preached by the White House and Swallowed whole by the American Sheeple. Gen, An excellent rebuttal to Wood****ter's bull****. His debating tactic was dishonest from the get go. He took the Ticker out of context, and in hindsight even got that part of his red herring wrong. He owes you a public apology.

Great article. I especially like the part about technical analysis and how you talk about putting it on 'context'. Which I completely agree with. I for one like to combine my TA with cycle analysis (for a view of the major-direction, 'north' or 'south':)) and macro-economic conditions (for a broad view of the economy, basically the 'context'). But very nice and methodical rebuttal :) I like people who use their mind to think properly! Keep up the great work Karl! ---------- Time is the most important!

Hey Karl, I was a little confused of your perspective on the SPX You're looking for a move down to fib levels, then a bounce to the neckline? Commodities look really dead too, i think that just adds more validation to your thesis. They probably had the same leverage game as stocks.

Market, I'm actually following a channel right now - if you watch the nightlies (you don't have a gold star :)) you'd have seen that for the last few days. When it violates that will mark the time of the correction. On TIME the best fit for this is around the 14th, but those are crayon markers, not bright lines. It would be unusual but not unheard of for it to come this early (e.g. today.) ---------- "The monetary base in ALL modern monetary systems is the sum of unencumbered assets against which one is both WILLING AND ABLE to borrow." - Me

Speaking from a cyclical perspective, a significant low shouldn't be formed until somewhere between early to mid august. A 22-week intermediate-term cyclical low will probably be placed somewhere within that timeframe. Until then stay short, but when you get close to that period, start dancing close to the exits... Disclaimer: there's always the possibility that another scenario might play out. ---------- Time is the most important!

What do you make of the explosive bond action today? Makes me think the market "bounce" at the end of the day is BS.

I'm surprised at the mention of 20 percent short. On the 1-10 Genesis scale is that just shy of shorting the phone book? Add: Sakete, come to the technical analysis forum any time and share the cycle stuff if you care to. I have August 4th as a cycle low but only in my most bearish projection. Last modified:
