Gen, Shelby didn't vote (yes) for the bill...he was one of the opponents that did speak out against it. Not saying he's innocent, but not entirely guilty as accused either.

This Ticker is, without a doubt, the best illustration of your complete mastery of this subject.

I know it is of no comfort to you to receive such praise; however your dogged determiniation to right this wrong is worthy of recognition and respect for your unfailing efforts. Thank you.

My reps are now going to get an earfull from me as well as a copy of this "Redress of Grievances"

I need someone to lay out a plan for how I can safeguard my family from this debacle. Anyone?

Nice summary. You did not mention GE. They are testing the Fed window. Something about needing $200B. I guess the Lehman and Wamu auctions went well. God we are so screwed. I will send this around.

Ok, so here's my question(s). Our govt obviously will go to any length necessary to prolong this charade, despite the law of unintended consequences, such as guaranteeing one instrument only to the detriment of another, then guaranteeing that one etc. Clearly this could lead to a dislocation in the very near term. The question is longer term, beyond a few months. Are others willing/able to go down this same path, such as Europe, Asia, LatAm? If so, won't that in effect become the stabilization force for the global market, as currencies are priced in relative terms? What I'm getting at here is are we expecting a temporary spike in the long-end of the curve, only to find yields then compress at a faster rate as deflationary forces take hold globally? Or are we supposed to be expecting permanent (as in more than a year or more) higher yields as a result of our neverending bailouts and that is specific to the US?

This is the scariest ticker I have ever read. It sounds like my mutual fund of T-bills contains 'wallpaper'. I might as well redeem this fund, pay the penalty and taxes, and hope I can get the cash out now before the big crash.

Thanks KD, appreciate all your time alerting us to the fraud in this government.

This explains why my Reserve Treasury Only fund where my broker parked excess cash from my account was frozen last month. Fortunately for me the money was eventually delivered.

Excellent article Gen. Sent that one out to all the family and neighbors...the ones who care.

Well, I would imagine its US and against them. And that means bringing them to justice one way or another. Obviously, the "government" and its wonderful institutions will not dare tackle this wholeheartedly, as compared to say, some really angry people. Unfortunately, if we enter a hard depression, it is unsure if and when the system will be changed for the better, and whether justice will ever be served. But, justice must be served. And it will be best served if ALL incumbents are voted out this time around, so we have somewhat fresh minds to install unbiased justice.

I, for one, am not going to sit through 5 to 10 years of faux gov investigations, backroom deals, soft pedaling of criminal activity and more of the same secretive proceedings. It should be made loud and clear that they can no longer toss us a bone to appease us.

GaryK: To answer your question about your family.

To avoid reinventing the wheel, I would just refer you to this site to take care of the basics: http://www.providentliving.org/channel/0....

When you have those things taken care of, if you still have time, and means, then you can worry about guns and gold.

IMHO, I believe that cash may work for awhile, then it won't. Then gold or silver may work for awhile, but then they won't because no one in their right minds will want to trade every day necessities for stuff that they can't eat or save lives with.

KD you are seriously kickin ass lately.

I mean you are truly doing some top quality ****.

We need to mobilize and get this **** everywhere. I only see 2 problems...

1. The majority of Americans are ignorant morons incapable of comprehending anything besides football and American Idol.

2. The pigmen are corrupt and the congress****s are corrupt.

I gotta be honest, at some point I'm kinda hoping for a new Revolution. You know the type in which this country was formed.

U sure it wasn't just a lock to liquidate to another fund of 30-60 days?

I think it's game over and the lady sings the blues........

Everybody here has petitioned the gummit, and were ignored, ridiculed, and talked down to like a bunch of step-children.

They are ALL either incompetent or thieves and traitors.

I got out my cash, but have no idea what to buy. I'm guessing gold is going much higher, so I'm buying all in tomorrow. I think the recent US$ spike is manipulated, and gold is manipulated down just until the bastards get what they want......If somebody is naked shorting T-Bills (apparently), then the fix is in, right? They will short, and if the US goes BK, they never have to cover, right? (this is the way it works with equities)

To put the answer even MORE simply, can you think of anything you'll need in the next year or so? Might want to have it now. If nothing particularly bad happens, you'll just end up using it anyway.

Yikes. Bye-bye Buffet....maybe. I remember Karl's "Your turn to step up to the plate" video directed at Buffet which mentioned Buffet's S&P futures play that could bankrupt his company. Anyone know how far down it would have to go?
