This is about massive government bailouts and obligations (i.e. future taxation) going to financial players including obvious criminals without due process or representation. It's not that hard to figure out, even for a Canadian. The POTUS is full of sheit...he knows better than to talk to the taxpayer like they're stupid.

Lately The Atlantic has been putting out some outstanding pieces on Wall Street in general. This is one of them for only its brutal honesty by nare I say the mouths of those who live it professionally. It has moments of humor and candor and then some. Just a bit OT to the topic at hand but nonetheless IMO there are attributes that interlace. http://www.theatlantic.com/doc/200905/go.... Last modified:

Very well done Karl. The rally i attended in Wilkes-Barre, Pa (80% D, and very corrupt) had over 300 people waving signs & flags. While the main theme was bank bailouts, welfare for illegals and the lazy had the loudest applause. I expected 25 R's bitchin about obama, instead young and old Americans that actually care about their country. Eye opener in this area.

Are they handing out primers there of how banks work and how we got robbed? That'd be the most helpful, imo, since people will read them.

Phirang- GREAT point. Karl's Tickers (with full attribution etc) are VERY easy to read without being simplistic or demeaning.

Bravo!!!!!! Outstanding!!!!!! One of your best, and they all are great! I would love to see you Mish and Taleb, play 20 questions with our yard gnome Turbo Tim and Helicopter Ben at a congressional hearing. Apparently Jeb Hensarling from Texas will be questioning the yard gnome Monday. Dallas contact Ph. 214-349-9996. Fax 214-349-0738, DC office Ph. 202-226-4888 Fax 202-226-4888. He is very anti TARP. I will be sending faxes and calling. The Reuters article, GM readies for all-equity offer for debt-sources, is especially troubling, ie. taxpayers go to the back of the line, our shares =zip. How does Bill Gross and Goldman Sex make out on this deal? Thanks, Best Photon314

Well stated. I'm passing this around. BTW, even some lifelong dems I know are regularly emailing me stuff about how disgusted they are about how the DC regime has its head up their ass.

Well done, KD! Here's what happened locally in Bakersfield. John Boener (Minority Leader House of Reps), and Kevin McCarthy (minority whip) both showed up, expecting to speak. Apparently, their staff had strong armed the organizers and got permission. (this was talk show 1560 AM). Anyway, when I heard about this, I went ballistic on their call-in line. I said, "This is for YOU to listen to US, not the other way around!" Anyway, this struck a nerve, and their "permission" was revoked. They decided to attend anyway, and were welcome in the crowd. They got an earful, AND a statement of our grievances, linked below. This was signed by all present at the protest (about 2500), and was faxed to every single congress person. They got a dose of humble pie on the 15th, as nobody kissed their asses. Also, they got booed loudly by some because they aren't taking a hard enough stand. These are both Republicans, BTW, which proves your point. The petition is PDF, and lists the top 10 complaints of my brethren. http://www.knzr.com/goout.asp?u=http://i.... ---------- I always leave cookies.

I'm made as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore...at least until you skull **** me again and then I'll be really ****ed. Please..give me a break. They are stealing your money in broad daylight and calling you an extremist for complaining. From here the rabbit hole only goes deeper. Justice will never see the light of day. Solnow- We'll see. I am about as negative and whiny as one can get, but events may happen which propel this forward (such as bond market problems).

Solnow, people in the Belle haven yacht club in CT are going to the next tea party. They decide elections in this state. Fwiw, McCain had a fundraiser there last year. ---------- The Treasury can issue debt on your behalf because the State can and will stomp the wealth out of you and your family.
