Great Ticker, Gen... Sent this whole string of posts about town meetings to my rep, VA-5, I still want to know if he READ the 1300 page Pelosi c(r)ap and tax bill. I expect I'll get a chance to ask him face to face next month as more meetings are expected locally

Talked to my reps sec. a few weeks ago, (He did not vote for any of this BS) showed proof of JPM oil tanker deal and GS BS. He knows and the answer was they need to take back the house in 2010. I asked did they think we could make it that far? Response was yes, Then I asked did she not know tax revenues are in the toilet and decreasing every day? Deer in the headlights look and no response. Asked if she had enough ammo WTSHTF jaw dropped and hit the floor. they have no clue what the people think about the Fed. Gov. They think they can keep kicking that can forever. Gen I find it ironic to compare the 1300 page bills with our standards for peer reviews. (For those outside the computer programming business: a peer review is a detailed review by the other programmers on the project [peers] of a piece of software or a requirements or design document.) Since we want a thorough, technical review, the process can't be rushed. Hence the rules are: 1. No more than 20 pages to review at one meeting 2. The reviewers must have the code or document at least 2 business days before the review, so they have time to analyze the code or document before the meeting. I lost a customer last week because he and I got into a heated debate over the health care plan, I am opposed to it. When the discussion got deeper and the subject of party politics came up, I let it be known that both parties are corrupt and everyone should be removed from office and that we should rinse and repeat until the people we send to Washington start representing the people. At that point he promptly stood up and called me a NAZI vowing to never return. Never mind that he earlier told me he has always been treated honestly and fairly in the past. Oh well, if that is what takes to wake up the masses, I can handle it.

I think we can all safely say that Congress has been properly briefed. Whatever happens, they all know now, and can no longer hide behind their claim of ignorance, or "no time to read the bill" or anything else. Even the short bus riders around here know exactly what you are talking about. BTW, I'm not crazy about the new mug shot AV, but know why you changed it:) ---------- I always leave cookies.
