Okay. I love to bash Citi, but just maybe someone there read those Tickers last year. A quick look on Yahoo Finance on WM found the following... 11-Dec-07 Citigroup Downgrades Hold to Sell. Kudblow was in rare form last night, claiming everything was peachy because we now know that the government will be bailing out any failing financial institution that poses systemic risk. With an avalanche of failures on the horizon, that isn't possible even if the government wanted to do it. Is he that stupid?

Kudblow shouldn't do his spiel unless he's wearing a cute little cheerleader outfit (well, cute on a teenager) and matching pom poms. This way, the sheeple will know its for entertainment purposes. Otherwise a lot of clowns will believe him. I had a good friend that thought Cramer was a genius BECAUSE HE OWNED A HEDGE FUND AND WAS RICH. But, I helped point out his discrepancies and after a period of time she didn't think much of Cramer. ---------- 2/17/09 = Hogzilla bill was signed = THE POINT OF NO RETURN = Cheers to the Reset, LONG LIVE THE UNDERGROUND ECONOMY! Karl... it's "Lemonade Stand" not "Lemonaid Stand" ---------- "There is no means of avoiding the final collapse of a boom brought about by credit expansion. Yep, and when WaMu blows watch out below. Wamu is like IndyMac only bigger. When Congress and the Fed have to step in to arrange for the orderly disassembly of WM it is going to set off alarm bells in investors heads because it is ANOTHER area of the financial sphere that is undercapitalized requiring help. Fear is back after a breif summer hiatus. I expect a big drop on the stockmarket within a few weeks. I don't have much to base this feeling on except for the knowledge that WM is F****D and the old gut, but I'm watching...

You ask what the regulators were doing. Well since this is a new era they were all drinking, taking bong hits, doing coke lines and probably ****ing a few bank "employees". Not your silly stodgy rules and regulations type of "regulators", but your normal regular folks acting like regulators. Just like the normal regular folks we elect to every office to act like leaders. When the guy at the top gets blowjobs, you can see if it is affecting his performance on the job or compromising national interests. But the guys in the middle to the bottom who is watching over them? If you want to steal secrets from an embassy do not go after the ambassador, he is a lecher anyway. Go after the security guys, they have keys to everything, they know how to cover their tracks and they are too dumb to realize they have been had that they can still pass a polygraph test. No wonder everyone wants a government job these days - stable income, regular raises, great perks and ****y-sucky all the time. 2008-09-11 09:54:30

KD.. the ugly truth is that since our "regulators" have been so competent as to have ignored this level of deterioration in the balance sheets of our banks, and WaMu is not the only one by far, refusing to force these clowns to take their marks and account for them, they have effectively rolled the dice on a resumption of home price inflation COMPETENT? i think you mean incompetent, but not totally sure because 'competent' could be said in complete sarcasm... If you want sanity in the world, men must be allowed to hire full time assistants called, for lack of a better word, ball washers. These would be a nubile, young wenches whose job it was to keep the male drained of the juices that affect the sanity of his thinking. Most men would need to have 3, one for each of the 8 hour shifts in the day. Oh please, I respect family values! Wives would get the weekends. ---------- If deficits don't matter, then the Federal Government can borrow the money it needs and stop taxing the citizens. The odd part of this is that Greenberg (CEO) and his Smith ex-CFO at AIG are likely heading to jail for similar shenanigans. One has to wonder just how many idiots ...er CEOs of financial institutions need to be frog-marched off to a bunk in the big-house before the fear of retribution exceeds their fear of failure? Sadly, it now appears to be too late to stop the death spiral the financial system is in. It is time for shorty to fleece all those happy-talk idiots who think the worst is over.
