The United States brought down the world with fraudulent mbs contracts written out of London. The big players walked free after we paid the cds contract obligations. nice.

I think it's the states who are going to have to do the fighting. I think it's painfully obvious the federal government won't because they are in collusion with these thieves.

Edit to Add

It's funny because the My Take I'm doing today actually is about the states going to have to do the fighting. Then this article comes out. Nice. Ill post my thoughts when Im done.

throw the VRDN problem on the fire: http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=n....

The muni CDS spreads, the 5yr cummulative default rate is now 34% vs historical
0.02%.
that's a huge deterioration, and a 300bn+ problem. Wait to see if Congress will bail out or not.
I'm suprised there hasn't been more legal noise about all this. Maybe it's just taking it's time to go through the process, especially if the muni has to prove mispresentation, and somehow missed to read the fine print.

No wonder the credit rating nationwide was set to negative by Moody's for muni bonds. How widespread is the problem? How are the rates reset: libor or t bond yield? Libor is low now.

(I am learning, sorry if this sounds ignorant)

Ehan: VERY widespread.

I've been screaming about this for over a year - this sort of bull**** has become embedded all over the place.

Gen,

Very good ticker. Just a minor edit, I believe you meant "pursuing" rather than "pursing" the insider ring.

"Nein, wir haben es nicht gewusst."

Wolfgang Bittner
Kollektivschuld

Wir haben es nicht gewußt,
Keiner hat es gewußt,
Keiner hat es wissen wollen,
Keiner wollte es wissen.
Selbst wer es hätte wissen können,
Hat es nicht wissen wollen,
Selbst wer es wissen konnte,
Wollte es nicht wissen.

So ist das gewesen,
Was hätten wir denn tun können,
Wenn wir nichts wußten?
Wir haben uns nichts vorzuwerfen,
Wir brauchen uns nichts vorwerfen lassen,
Wir lassen uns auch nichts vorwerfen!
Einmal muß Schluß sein damit!
Damit haben wir nichts zu tun gehabt.
Damit haben wir nichts zu tun.

Wir haben es nicht getan,
Andere haben es getan,
Aber keiner hat es gewußt.
Nur die es getan haben,
Wußten etwas davon,
Aber sie wußten nicht was sie taten,
Sie taten es,
Sie taten es auf Befehl,
Was einem befohlen wird muß getan werden.

Wir sind unschuldig,
Uns kann keiner in den Schmutz ziehen,
Wir haben es nicht getan,
Und wir hätten es auch nicht getan,
Wir haben es nicht einmal gewußt,
Niemand kann sagen, wir hätten es gewußt,
Wir haben es selbstverständlich auch nicht gewollt,
Niemand kann sagen, wir hätten es gewollt.

Keiner hat es gewollt,
Und keiner hat es gewußt,
Manche haben es zwar geahnt,
Aber gewußt hat es in Wirklichkeit keiner,
Alle haben es nicht gewußt,
Alle haben es nicht gewollt,
Wer etwas hätte wissen können,
Hätte es auch nicht gewollt,
Wenn er etwas gewusst hätte,
Uns kann keiner etwas wollen.

From the State Of Montana story mentioned above:

"...The legislative plan, signed recently by Gov. Brian Scheitzer, a Democrat, is called, "An Act exempting from federal regulation under the Commerce Clause of the Constitution of the United States a firearm, a firearm accessory, or ammunition manufactured and retained in Montana."

WHY oh WHY didn't the Dems ELECT Gov. Brian Scheitzer?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Let's just say last November was a mulligan and revote TODAY with a Presidential ballot having these 2 choices: Scheitzer vs Palin !!!!!

GREAT ARTICLE Hihoherewego!!!!!!!!!!!!!
