Would it matter if Glen Beck was a drooling lunatic? Or Damon Vickers an unrecovered meth addict? FTR, I'm not a fan of Beck, nor of any of the MSM heads, regardless of their political motivations. Dude I saw this and clapped my hands. What the nine points guy is saying is what I have been saying for awhile and Im glad it got on TV. It has NOTHING to do with being against wealth and everything to do with living with your means and getting AWAY FROM THE SYSTEM! Get off the meds, get off the American Idol, (Although I just got into V) get off the government electric system, start learning to grow food (I started my first garden) dont be a part of the credit card crusaders (pay **** in cash), and on and on self sufficient is key. It starts with us and we are the ones who keep putting these people in office like it or not no ****ing excuses so we need to fix this. No fan of the guy either but it is GREAT that he's out there saying these things. I just found out ANOTHER friend of mine is on anti-depressants. This whole things is insane. I feel sick looking at all the Hummers, Fribble shakes and plastic tv sets. C'mon. This has got to stop.

I for one am happy Beck gets this stuff out, even though I don't think he's especially articulate. Nor do I find him that interesting...but I notice that many do, and that's fine with me. I think he's a goober....but I appreciate his gooberism.

Anyone? The very last thing said was the gov't will be the first out the door-(asset bubble burst). Everyone else last. Then added we are too big to fail - will other gov'ts save us? First - how will the gov't know when to exit? Exit what? Second - why then does he imply even if gov't exits first - it still fails?

So for folks like me who can't connect the dots as quickly... The government and big banks borrow at no interest and buy other currencies/instruments and sit back as the dollar depreciates and the other assets increase. Then at some point the fed will raise the interest rates, but before that, the gov, being best friends forever (ugh) with the fed will get the tipoff and exit the trades, leaving everyone else scrambling to get back into the dollar to pay back there loans. Is that right? What I don't understand is that if everyone has to rush back into the dollar to pay off their debts, won't the value of the dollar skyrocket and the foreign assets diminish? I know I'm missing something, but I don't know what...

Boy this adds another level of complexity. First - it was the banks borrowing at 0% interest and buying foreign assets. Now the gov't itself is involved in this. How do we know all gov'ts of the world are not involved - who is going to save whom? Babylon is falling falling. Last modified:
