KD, weren't you talking about a bond market dislocation? It has started in Australia: "Australian state bonds slid this week as banks sold A$11 billion ($7.4 billion) of debt backed by Prime Minister Kevin Rudd’s funding guarantee, “dislocating” markets and pushing the premium investors demand to hold New South Wales securities over sovereign to the highest since the 1990s." http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=2.... You can thank Mish for finding it. How close are we to having this happen here? Maybe the government will backstop purchases of automaker debt? LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA. 2008-12-13 20:02:18

I can see the Wilson argument definitely. What we need is a president with some real balls to shut down the fed.

It seems more and more clear to me that a bunch of us like-minded people here and elsewhere will eventually all move to one state and then try and secede. This country is racing towards a brick wall. I'm not so sure we'll survive another 20 years based on what I've seen the past few months.

KD... I don't think I could survive this without your insight. I feel as though my head is going to explode and if it weren't for your voice, I'm sure it would. I live in a state of utter hopelessness for this country (and the world). It amazes me how many people have their heads in the sand about what is really happening to us. Frankly, the only thing that's holding this mess together are the continued lies. They've got to run out of tricks soon, KD. Jan 2008-12-13 23:24:17
