"...debt securities that are clearly marked on the face of each prospectus as being NOT guaranteed by the government...". Well, Karl, you must've said this for about the 100th time now, but you, of all people, should know better. What is written on what paper doesn't mean jack-**** to the "elite" in the system's (global and US) power structure - what matters there is who can crush who's balls. The entire web of rules and laws and regulations and contracts and other BS is only meant to keep the weaker parties (regular John Doe "citizen", third world countries) in perpetual slavery.

And just to clarify things a bit more.. Its easy to *say* **** you for *you* to the Chinese, etc., but really, US is not the power it once was and if and when the US govt. does so (says "**** you", i.e.,), it is the entire US middle class that will be ****ed.

Well Andy welcome to ticker forum. Hope you're a US citizen because Hank and Ben have been fixing you your own special sandwich. Mmmm those will be tasty for the remaining years of your life. Just figure on about $100 of debt service per month per person for the **** they are serving up. And as another way of welcoming you to the Forum. Well how about a good old fashioned **** you. ---------- "These are interesting times. I really hope they earn the six sandwich grade in the end. That's a financial nuke that would light up the world and as long as we don't have to pay for it I'll be watching with more excitement than my kid at Xmas.

gen, they've already admitted creating moral hazard. it doesn't matter if it's chindia or the ib's, they'll all be bailed out in some fashion. i'm not disagreeing with you because it clearly states it in the prospectus and the fre 5 year auction today was 96bps over treasuries which speaks for itself. from your lips to God's ear. Mmmm, sandwiches with special sauce.

I'm not buying the bailout. What do the banks have to gain from it? The dollar would be tanked along with Treasuries leaving our Gov't and financial system F-ed in the A for a long time. The flip side is making these countries eat these **** sandwiches, destroying their financials and making the transfer of their wealth to our financial kingpins easier. Dollar gets stronger as a result of the world currencies taking a ****nap and our financial system thrives after a couple-few years of slow growth.

It's always a pleasure to read an analysis by someone who has a firm grasp of the metric system: 10 buttloads = one ****load. Ten ****loads = one ****load. Folklorically speaking, the chances that the US taxpayer will not get stuck with the bill may be explained by the familiar aphorism (I think it was by Confucious), "Water runs downhill." (Mysteriously preceeded in the ancient text by the obscure words, "Righty-tighty, lefty-loosey," and followed by the now-unknown but better understood, "Payday's Friday.")

Musashi, from what little I know of Confucious, I have the impression he had a thing for stating the obvious. I remember some aphorism about how, if you want to enter a house, you should for ****'s sake use the door instead of the window. "Water runs downhill" kind of sounds like something Confucious would have said. The guy seems to have had quite a handle on objective reality. A rare quality, it would seem.

Apologies, Tat668. No offense intended. I suppose if I had attributed some silliness to Jesus, several here would have blown a fuse.
