Quote:Change we can believe in - yep, we'll steal even more than we did under The Bush Administration! I really hope no one is surprised... our government's problems are not a partisan problem... equally corrupt on both sides of the aisle.. Anyone wonder if McCain would have stolen more, less or about the same as Bush?

Quote:Let's remember that Goldman got roughly $10 billion in AIG-funneled money to "settle" CDS that their CEO said was a fully-hedged position and which would have had no material impact if AIG had gone down, mostly because they had collected nearly all of the hedge before AIG got in serious trouble. Karl, I had to bring this up again - since it was actually $12.9 Billion, which is quite a bit more than $10 B...... Last modified:

gangsters of the highest order, these bastards ... it's one thing to dupe your clients and "shake the bush" to move markets in your favor, it's quite another to plunder gov't coffers and set up the entire economy for an epic ****storm ... no GS employee can have any conscience whatsoever ... ah, to be a fly on the wall on their Judgment Day! i'm just surprised that their PR dept didn't do a better hush job on this story, they are now asking for a homegrown jihad to be put on their ass

Quote:wonder why ACORN hasnt organized any protests at 85 broad st yet Dont take this wrong but... Who gives a **** about ACORN. Any theft done by ACORN pales in comparison to the theft by the bankers so please dont try to change the subject. Now on subject I saw this story this weekend I wanted to go nuts. Record payouts when these guys 6 months ago was asking for billions and got billions both directly and indirectly through conduits like AIG. This is just ****ing wrong when a population suffers from a collapse caused by the financial industry that the same industry is handing out record pay on the taxpayers dime. As Americans we should be ashamed. If the media doesnt paste this all over the place they too should be ashamed. ---------- My views are my view and mine alone. “Goldman is to be congratulated for seeing the problem ahead of others and protecting itself from the impending failure of AIG,” said William Poole, former president of the St. Louis Fed, in an interview last week. “It’s not the responsibility of any private firm to determine what the public interest is -- that’s why we have a government.” http://zerohedge.blogspot.com/2009/06/fi.... ---------- “The danger to America is not Barack Obama but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the presidency. It will be easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their president

What the heck, Obama's approval rating is only down 1% and they can't understand it. Most think it's due to health care reform snags or Iran softlines. Obviously has nothing to do with banksters bonus. They deserve it. to the tune of "Candy Man" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zhhkF3dqX....

"Nice, eh? Do Treasury's bidding, get paid for it, get an extra $10 billion from the taxpayer as a gift to cover a bet you had already hedged against default, and pocket it all." It must have been the price of securing their 'help' in pretending the dike isn't bursting/hasn't burst. ---------- Now it appears the 'goal' is no longer to defeat communism. The goal now appears to rabidly loot, and has entered a new desperate phase where the utilization of slave labor for mercantilist gain has extended to bankruptcy for profit, and the stealing of the meager savings of the slaves themselves.

It would be interesting to see how the authorities would respond to massive protests in front of GS, or outside the homes of their leading partners. Before this is all over, I'll bet that they re-label themselves with a name change.
