And you are spot on about the great illusion/distraction we call 'partisanship'.

Dems and Reps are 2 sides to the same corrupt coin. And the finger pointing is designed to keep us from focusing on the real culprits.

I had no audio feed from the board, and as you can see, they had a "wee problem" with lighting for the speaker too. Oh, that was after they "fixed it" - you wouldn't believe what it looked like when the event started. Kinda like speaking from a cave.

Next time I think I bring my own wireless Lav setup and go independent..... but I can't fix the lighting problems :)

A word of critisizm here.. I wasn't there at the presentation ofcourse.. so if it is out of place... anyway here goes...

I thought your previous presentation at Tallahassee was a lot better. To improve your speech I would suggest:

To make use of repetion in your speech that will make the speech a lot more powerfull.

I personally would go for ... "Stop the Looting and Start Prosecuting". It is a good slogan and best of all.. it is your own. Start your speech with it.. Close your speech (which you already did) with it.. Use it in between!

But that is just me getting carried away. :p

Mack, I had my 15 minuter, and was cut to 10 with very short notice, then the person I was supposed to follow (and thus the lead I had to build on!) went from something good to ZERO within about 30 seconds.

Not a lot I can do about that sort of circumstance... except wing it.

okay.. I see.. well next time better I guess.. still it wouldn't hurt to repeat the key message(s) a couple of times. To bring more structure in to the speech. If you want I could attempt to co-write a script.. I would be happy to!

Karl, I am not familar with Florida politics. HAve you been in touch with the local prosecutor (the one you referred to in your speech as being able to do the work that Eric Holder won't) and have they been receptive to your complaints?

While these events seem better suited for evangelizing rather than educating, you may wish to connect the reference to "6th grade math" re the exponential function by referencing the checkerboard (and grains of rice, or gold coins, pennies, etc) analogy that I suspect is ubiquitous. To someone who was taught the analogy but has forgotten the math or the words for it, it will be immediately accessible, and it is a succinct rhetorical device for those who haven't heard it before.

Also I think his speech on the economy was to technical for most in the room (although all of us would understand it easily). I think much of it went right over their head. They cut his speech time from 15 to 10 min. That extra 5 min would of made a difference. Yes Karl was talking about how it was both parties and it seemed in my opinion it was just to strong of medicine for most to take.

So yes I do feel his message was lost to most people in blind partisanship.
