Great ticker today Gen. Just freaking great. The technical was Goldilocks, not too long not to short. LOVED the video! Nice timing too. We had a pretty significant derailment on one of the main rail lines here yesterday. It derailed right in front of a ferry terminal & road, a real 3 for 1 blockage. Two weeks ago we had a propane tanker truck blow up 150 feet into the air and land on a highway, the flames from the explosion engulfed the highway and even shut down I-5. I'm starting to feel like we are in "Atlas Shrugged". Last modified:

Karl, don't you think we need to see a collapse in China to join all the dots?, or do you see a disconnect?

You see the guys jumping from the other train just before impact? Talk about stress - reminds me of rats jumping from a sinking ship, or longs jumping from a .. well you know. Thanks for the technical and your clarity as always Karl!

Gen: That was excellent. I've been short term trading the pro-shares ultra-shorts. It has been profitable for me (well.... not like you guys ... but profitable - like more than beer money but not yet paying the monthly nut.) Your ticker tonight explained some things to me (as to why QID did not move as much as SDS for example) that I didn't understand before and it was a question I was asking myself all day today as I watched the market. I'm totally learning haphazardly as I go. Your ticker crystalized some things I had been asking myself as I continue on the learn as you go curve. Thanks. p.s. no pinball games today for the rugrats?

Nova, QID did not move up as much as SDS because of GOOG and AAPL. QID is still in trouble if AAPL decides to move to $190 (8% of Qs). I sold all SDS and QID, MRK reports on Monday. DOW will rebound. I'll get back in on Tuesday after AAPL reports a blowout numbers.

Guy: Thanks. I've got short, and I mean short, stops on both. I expect a bump on Monday also. I'll take my profits and maybe buy back as the technicals dictate. APPL may report blowout numbers but I think that will be short lived. I'm typing on a Mac right now and can tell you that even though it's less than a year old, I've had to reload the OS time and time again. I don't download anything and check my mail on-line, yet the OS still freezes and needs to be reloaded. Am I getting Leopard for free? No. Is a fix being developed for TigerOS, they say so, but I don't see anything coming out to help APPL owners who bought with a TigerOS other than paying for Leopard. I've heard that the IPhone has the same problems. My gut tells me that APPL is no GOOG. I have a laptop on Windows and there is either a fix or a findable workaround for any problem I've had. Apples problem free promise is well known to be false. I think APPL may be a flash in the pan. Thanks for the advice. I'm still learning!! Last modified:

I've got puts going into Monday; bounce or no bounce. Today's tape action was positively ugly, and I certainly don't want to be caught long while the ABX indices are trending to zero. Anyway, I was one of the 350 or so that signed the petition. I'm hoping that many others will do the same.

Great ticker. we seen the roll over on the daily. see if can see a confirmed movement on the weekly anytime soon. There is plenty off downtime potential. Thanks for the push on risk and money management. Very useful! where did that "dive dive dive" come from, distracted me reading your ticker a bit. ---------- -- The Big bang down gives something to look fwd to. For the next 30 years or so.

KD: tickervideo.org seems to be down. novasold: could be bad/flaky RAM; OS freezes are symptomatic of a hardware issue esp. if you've reloaded the OS without success. my Powermac G5 would freeze 2-3 times a month when I had a Tripp-Lite UPS connected via USB. Once I disconnected that I haven't had a freeze/lockup in over a year. current uptime: 40 days, and that's only because I went out of town and shut it down. check your system logs with the console app to see if there's any subsystem errors. feel free to drop me a note if you want some more help. ---------- Will that be one lump, or two? Hey KD, SnP futures down almost 9 full points. I hope that that the FED bastards don't do an emergency rate cut both in discount and FED funds rate to trap the bears in PM just before the market opens for trading on Monday. ---------- "The whole purpose of this ****ing US Fed is to make Banksters richer and Midle Class Americans poorer with each passing day. KD, I really should have listened to you're mantra on risk!!! One thing I think I've found out these last two weeks is that trading (posting stuff on message boards too) and quitting tobacco do not mix.
