He got a look at JPM's actual earnings release. Well, so did a lot of other people, including me, and it blew bananas. ---------- "The monetary base in ALL modern monetary systems is the sum of unencumbered assets against which one is both WILLING AND ABLE to borrow." - Me

Dick just said BAC cooked the books, And JPM had no real earnings, but they are going to 40 by the end of next week? No credibility by anyone on that channel anymore. Hell I think I heard someone say the Nasdaq is going for 8 straight up days in a row? yeah and derivatives exposure has kinda left everyones memory banks? Oh and how about the legal expenses from the Class Action lawsuits for allowing Naked Short selling for how many years. No way they make profits......but the game can continue for awhile and the Charts don't show any signs of cracking at all. "YET".

So Dicky Bove thinks banks suck, and Merideth Whitney is now Goldman Sachs best friend? Did I wake up in Bizzaro World? ---------- While at a conference a few weeks back, I spent an interesting evening with a grain of salt.

Easy explanation, all the shorts got scared off, so now they need to sucker in some more for the next cycle. Place a call to 1-800-Buy-Bove who no doubt accepts credit cards, cash, bearer bonds, etc.

Is the **** about to hit the fan? Why is CNBC running legitimate stories today?? 1. Bove on banks 2. Legit 5 minute story on foreclosure inventory on Closing Bell 3. Karl as a guest on Kudlow Is credibility suddenly becoming important to this network? Next week's market action should be interesting. He still has a BUY on them and he ALSO said just a day or so ago that JPM's stock could double. What he DID hint at was that numerous other banks were simply going to get SLAMMED due to the fact that this environment is NOT helpful to their dilemma and these smaller banks are simply NOT getting or going to get the same level of handout and bailout that the chosen few are receiving. Which sounds to me like there could be some great short to zero potential bank possibilities if you happen to pick the ones that are NOT going to be chosen to be saved....... ---------- Ticker Forum Special: "Bennie and the Feds" Melody:Elton John Lyrics:Bubblesee http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=etfVMtCq9Oc (Larry Kudblow eat your heart out)
