Felt the need to add this Gen. I find it so fitting.

"Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security."

Thanks for the ticker by the way and it only took FHA to PO you?

BTW....Will be doing 80 hour weeks here shortly.

Give 'em Hell, brother! Thank you for all you do.

I'm going to be sending these to the younger (<30) people in my family. I have been sending them to the older ones and have been mostly ignored. They all have their heads stuck up their asses.

The sad part is that they are starting to reload the pipeline with the same **** mortgages that got them in this mess. The following is from Fifth Third Bank (large regional bank).

Making Home Affordable Program: Refinancing

Many homeowners pay their mortgage on time, but do not qualify to refinance at today’s lower rates due to current home values. A Home Affordable Refinance will help borrowers whose loans are held by Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac refinance into a more affordable mortgage.

This new plan will make refinancing easier for many homeowners. If your loan is held by Freddie Mac, some benefits to refinancing under this plan may include:

Refinance up to 125% loan-to-value ratio. For instance, if your home is worth $100,000 and your current mortgage exceeds that amount, under this program you may be able to refinance your mortgage up to $125,000

No appraisal required on some single-family homes

No minimum credit score

No employment, income or asset verification required

With today’s interest rate environment and the relaxed qualifying requirements available through the Making Home Affordable Program, it makes sense to review your current situation now. To find out more about your eligibility, please call us at 1-866-849-0588. Our experts will walk you through your eligibility and options to help meet your current financial needs.

HELL YEAH!! Now that ticker got me riled up!

Absolutely disgusting that this is still talked of as a "downturn", as if the banks were innocent victims of bad financial weather.

We have been robbed and we are now paying our last dollars to the ones who robbed us.

The history books will look back on this time with absolute astonishment.

Has it occured to anyone here, that it is no use ranting. ASK WHY! your gov continues to drive off a cliff Could it be that they are, just as some individuals are doing , maxing out the credit with a PLAN TO DEFAULT, while at the same time money [like GS] is moved out of US dollars to safe location, to be repatriated later when there is a fire sale.

PS this idea is not my own, and was done in Argentina.

I'm a liberal progressive and I am ready for the revolution. Then there are the teabaggers and birthers on the right who are ready for revolution. Doesn't anyone in Washington realize how freaking dangerous this is all becoming? I think Karl has sane reasons for what he posits here. I think I do, too. Our government has become so massively corrupt and venal that something has to be done. I think we have allowed an oligarchy and corporate interests to rob us blind, as well as start to buy every building, highway, water source, energy source ... well ... we are screwed in so many ways, who can count?

I spent all of my time, money, and energy raising three great kids with bright minds and decent character who will inherit a f*cking wasteland. I should have taught them how to raise a barn and garden instead.

Keep at it Karl. More and more folks ARE listening. I never thought anything was going to change though. Even when you thought it might have started turning earlier this year. It's too big to stop at this point, but educating folks to what is going down is the right thing to keep doing.

Thank you for everything you have done, and spurred me to do on my own part. At some point the outrage will be heard

Meh. Nothing will change, NOTHING. The looting will continue unabated until either the US implodes or we continue to paper over the losses with the Chinese money and somehow pull out of this eventually.

And it is naive to think that the US Congressmen work for the American people. They work for the industries that have financed their campaigns. Duh.

Guys Fha really can be done where it is not so damn bad. When you have a client who goes Fha at least you are verifying income and getting a 3.5% downpayment. And anymore nobody will buy them without a 620 fico. The problem has been that in the past you could get a subprime loan done Fha, and you could do downpayment assistance from the seller to effectively get 100% financing. I would guess that the DPA loans are defaulting at about 30%. It used to be you could do a 565 fico with DPA on a FHA with about a 50% ratio. Another problem that I have with FHA is you can do a 275,000 purchase anywhere on a Fha loan. Hell in some communities 275,000 will buy you the nicest house in town. FHA and Rural Development loans should only be done to help people get into starter houses. 3/2/2 tops with about 1500 sq ft tops. We have made FHA a program that it was never intended to be.

All that being said and I'm sure Gen will see my points and we'll agree to disagree - well I'm sick of the **** and if we need to go what I think is too far in order to get things back in line - well sign me up. I haven't listened to Blog Talk yet but it seems someone ****ed in Gen's cornflakes. And they have been ****ing in all of our cornflakes for way too long.

To quote Otter - Gen's right. Psychotic, but absolutely right. We gotta take these bastards. Now we could do it with conventional weapons that could take years and cost millions of lives. No, I think we have to go all out. I think that this situation absolutely requires a really futile and stupid gesture be done on somebody's part.

Well if someone can come up with the really futile and stupid gesture count me in. Anything that can be done to turn this around I'm for.

Give em hell Gen.

This Ticker was so good I read it twice.

Who's running the country...the Soprano's ? Looks like all they did was eliminate a couple of the "Families" last year and started all over again after consolidating power.

And I agree...Both parties are knee deep in this s**t and because of that we have been lucky to get a sternly worded letter from congress let alone any prosecution of these crooks.
