The new America: where men are laws and laws are men. He says "Behold! Let there be bank reserves!" And there were bank reserves. And He saw that the bank reserves were Good and He was pleased. Last modified:

Thanks for this one Gen. I've been ****ed about this specific item since 4ish. Newb question: Can Treas/Fed use Ginnie Mae as a conduit to buy and therefore 'bless' FNM and FRE MBSs by moving the debts onto Ginnie Mae and then to the Fed's balance sheet? In doing so they allow FRE and FNM to kick start the insane mortgage securitisation regime again? Last modified:

Macneib, not really (again without legislation.) Ginnie has a fairly restrictive charter. ---------- "The monetary base in ALL modern monetary systems is the sum of unencumbered assets against which one is both WILLING AND ABLE to borrow." - Me

We need to find a prosecutor that is willing to pursue this.

Take it from someone involved with the 2nd Amendment for 20 years - the Constitution is essentially dead. When convenient to the elites, it is holy writ; otherwise it is an obstacle to be overcome or ignored. The American people have been successfully domesticated - our forefathers would have long since revolted. I mourn for my country, and for my children's future in a hollow country ruled by greedy mother****ers who don't give a damn for the average person.

Quote:The American people have been successfully domesticated That's true. Macke from Minyanville was prognosticating today on FM that the DOW would regain all of it's losses this year. If the elites can control the un-holy writ and shuffle the deck for a while longer they will. I must admit that I don't see this situation facing reality until there are no more deck chairs It seems to me that this one is going to get recycled for another round anyway.

Thanks KD. This year of fraud and illegal actions of elected and appointed officials is beyond shocking, disgusting, and obscene. Just thinking of all of the failures and frauds of the regulatory, enforcement, banking, real estate, hedge funds, and ratings industries makes one's head spin and eyes shoot out in burts of blood. It just does not stop. I can't imagine what 2009 will bring. Someone said people will not recognize our country by next Christmas. ----------

Gen, One small issue. Actually here lately Fnma rates have been better than Gnma rates by a small margin. First time in a long time. ---------- "These are interesting times. I forget the Latin but in Latin it's a famous phrase - Who will watch the watchers (or, guard the guardians)? Maybe we should get some of those Greek teenagers to come over here and help us. They know how to riot damnit
