****ing A. I hope they FRY all these ****ers. Not sure if it's the proximate cause, but there was some interesting stuff going on at the time the market turned. (I can't remember what it was, exactly, but noted it at the time.) ---------- It's justifiably immoral to try to deal in a moral fashion with an immoral entity. If you trade based on what other people say, you will lose money. Especially what I say. I won't be held responsible. Festina lente.

That was my reaction too. Personally, I am going to remember that line for future use. "I'm sure I can't remember" Lordy. I can remember poker hands from December 2008. ---------- "We don't quit. I don't quit" President Obama 1/27/10 Man, I would to have him in one of our poker games.

Am I the only one who gets a sick pleasure from watching Bernenke squirm like a maggot. I do love to watch the torture of these hearings but as I stated on another thread to bad nothing ever comes from them.....

What the **** is going on? Suddenly Congress has grown a brain AND balls? Now maybe it's just me, but looking at Bernanke with his arms folded, I get the impression he is basically telling the questioners to go screw themselves.

So when is Ben going to throw Geithner under the bus. OR may be he will take the fall in favor of the plum 'advisor' position that is waiting in Wall Street.

I'm still not holding my breath, either, but occasionally I'm letting it out in order to laugh out loud this morning. What's fascinating me most is the way some of these congress members are working together, kind of like a pack of dogs. They're hitting him with pointed questions in a successive line. For once in my life they're almost acting like one of these committees is supposed to. "I'm sure that I can't remember."

"**** you" is not a good idea to serve up to Congress, and that body language is saying just that.

Now. Here's the very interesting question. Will the Fed throw a temper tantrum on the markets again for daring to question ol' Ben. Will we see a repeat of last September? Will there be further, very key liquidity drains? It's business 101. Never underestimate the power that your opponent has. Ever. The Congress is throwing their weight around. But it's not as if the Fed doesn't have power, and hasn't used that power in the past. It's like watching a repeat of the Andrew Jackson vs. Central Banking fights all over again. Remember what the Central Bankers did at THAT time? A temper tantrum to prove their point. * * * Another favorite line of utter bs that is worthy of note is the "No, I think the American taxpayers gained an investment, for which they will receive dividends" Yeah. Ok. ---------- "You cannot afford to wait for perfect conditions. Goal setting is often a matter of balancing timing against available resources. Also CNBS and the DEMS are clearly taking the side of Bernenke. I was hesitant to say it at first but now its VERY clear.

To follow up on Etz's observation... "One of the most basic and powerful body-language signals is when a person crosses his or her arms across the chest. This can indicate that a person is putting up an unconscious barrier between themselves and others. It can also indicate that the person's arms are cold which would be clarified by rubbing the arms or huddling. When the overall situation is amicable, it can mean that a person is thinking deeply about what is being discussed. But in a serious or confrontational situation, it can mean that a person is expressing opposition. This is especially so if the person is leaning away from the speaker. A harsh or blank facial expression often indicates outright hostility." ---------- "The Data Do Not Lie", Mr Mortgage (aka Hedgefundmanip), April 16th March Foreclosure Crisis Video.
