will devalue their currency within a week or two. Risk is 80-90% at this point according to source in DC. I am not at all looking at this angle and caught off guard. More from the source: 30-35% haircut. The other one seems to be Korea. ALL other currencies will have to follow as even NOW they couldnt compete in price with the price leaders china and korea. I think, steel, cement, and basic production in US (think MMM) will have issues with this. I think if it is real it wont come down easily without hundreds of lobbyists lining up asking Paulie to do something.

what do we do? I am sweating blood. I know how to handle J6P and subprime mortgage? But if this happens AUD has to do the same - absolutely no way to compete. As I stated earlier today, a virtual Plaza Accord is taking place. BTW, the real crisis(run on the dollar) is just beginning. Ironically, this will be good for everything except USD and US Treasuries. Stocks, are nothing more than long-dated TIPS, except the CPI input is market based. The real juice will be in commodities.
